When using Elmer's glue, I Find it handy to put glue into a needless syringe (around 3cc's is plenty big) this can make applying glue much easier and precise with less wasted glue and without the use of brushes. Different sized syringes will have different sized holes, try and find one with a sufficiently small hole, but not one so small as to hinder you from getting glue into and out of the syringe. You can also use pipette attachments for additional precision if a sufficiently small syringe cannot be found.
